BUILDING CHARACTER & VALUES
The Foundation for a Better Life began as a simple idea to promote positive values. They believe that people are basically good and just need a reminder. It is full of suggestions and positive stories that are uplifting and inspirational.

A.R. READING PROGRAM
Our school uses Accelerated Reader by Renaissance Learning as a reading motivational strategy. Improving reading ability is dependent on adequate reading practice. Make reading a daily routine by providing 20-30 minutes of quiet reading time at home. Make it family reading time where everyone is reading without the distractions of TV's, video games, and music. For the little ones, read to them and with them. For beginning readers, practicing the same passage over and over helps build fluency and vocabulary. Sight words should also be practiced until they become automatic.
If you have questions about A.R., please contact your child's classroom teacher.
