School Site Council

School Site Council (SSC) at Bryn Mawr Elementary
The School Site Council (SSC) is a dedicated group of parents, teachers, staff, and the principal who work together to support student achievement and improve our school. The SSC helps develop, review, and monitor our school’s Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) and determines how certain school funds are used to support learning for all students.

We value parent and community voice! Serving on the SSC is a meaningful way to get involved and make a difference in your child’s education. Elections are held annually, and all are welcome to attend SSC meetings.

The School Site Council is generally responsible for:

  1. Reviewing the needs of students and using data to set goals

  2. Gathering information from the school’s English Learners Advisory Committee and other advisory groups on campus

  3. Revising the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) with budgetary allocations

  4. Evaluating the effectiveness of the school plan

  5. Revising the Home-School Compact and Parent Involvement Guidelines, as needed

  6. Revising School Site Council By-laws, as needed

Bryn Mawr parents, staff, and community members are welcome to join any of our meetings.

For the 2025-2026 school year, school site council will be held on the following dates:

9/11, 10/16, 2/12, 3/12, 4/16, 5/14.

All meetings are from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Staff Lounge.
