Dear Bryn Mawr Families,

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new principal of Bryn Mawr Elementary. It is with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility that I join this wonderful community of learners, educators, and families.

I have devoted over 18 years to education, with nine of those years spent in administration. However, my journey in education began as a student. What I discovered—both as a student and later as a teacher and leader—is the profound importance of relationships.

Raised as the only child of immigrant parents who lacked formal education and English proficiency, my upbringing instilled in me a strong work ethic. My parents juggled multiple jobs to provide a warm bed and food on the table, fostering a foundational bond that continues to guide my dedication. While my parents worked, I leaned on educators who nurtured my creativity and critical thinking. From my 3rd and 4th grade teacher, to my junior high Math instructor and high school Principal, these mentors left indelible marks on my mind and soul. Their guidance and support were pivotal in shaping my life's path.

I have been fortunate to benefit from exceptional mentors who profoundly influenced my journey. It is this transformative power of individual relationships that fuels my passion for education.

Relationships are what builds culture and community, and I am eager to work closely with each of you to build upon the rich traditions and achievements of Bryn Mawr, while also exploring new opportunities for growth and innovation. Together, we will continue to prioritize student achievement, nurture a culture of respect and kindness, and celebrate the diversity that makes our school community unique.

I look forward to getting to know you and your children, and to an exciting and productive school year ahead!

Assistant Principal

Dear Bryn Mawr Families,

I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Bryn Mawr Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. I am passionate about nurturing future leaders and creating a school environment where every student feels a strong sense of belonging and purpose.

As a proud mother of eight children and a parent in Redlands Unified for over 20 years, I bring a deep appreciation for the vital role families play in a child's education. I believe that when students feel safe, valued, and connected, they are empowered to grow into confident, compassionate individuals.

One of my favorite quotes by Fred Rogers is, "We all have different gifts, so we all have different ways of saying to the world who we are." This quote resonates deeply with my belief in honoring each child's individuality and supporting them as they grow in confidence, resilience, and their understanding of their unique place and purpose in the world.

I look forward to partnering with you to make this a joyful year for all our Blue Jays!

Warmly,

Wendy McClung
